Danae’s Villas complex is located in a spot that provides easy access to many different activities, through which you can acquaint with the important history of Crete and to enjoy the splendid natural beauty the island is blessed with.
In Koutouloufari, you will have the chance to admire the beautiful Cretan architecture and the amicable character and unique hospitality of the local residents. Picturesque narrow streets, renovated handcraft establishments and neighborhoods that reflect another historical time comprise a settlement where tradition revives and beauty is expressed through simplicity.
Spread in the beautiful streets and small squares of the village, restaurants and cafes offer guests delicious meals and drinks from the universally known Cretan cuisine, as well as from international cuisines.
The shops of the village present visitors with a wide variety of goods and gifts, many of local production, such as olive oil, herbs, handmade ornaments and jewels and traditionally woven textiles.
Just 1.8km north of Koutouloufari, at the Port of Hersonissos, beautiful beaches of crystal clear, blue-green water await for moments of relaxation and fun.
For golf fans, almost 5km southwest of Hersonissos there is the Crete Golf Club, the largest golf installation in Greece.
At very small distances from the complex, you will find the Archaeological sight of Malia, as well as museums mainly of agricultural and folklore interest, such as the Agricultural Museum of Piskopiano.
The region of Lagada is located close to the complex and offers you the chance to visit the picturesque villages and their beautiful surroundings. There are many paths including the E4 for the fans of trekking, as well as traditional farms organizing tours in the villages. Also available are horse riding and paragliding lessons.
A trip to Heraklion will give you the chance to visit the Minoan Palace of Knossos and many museums of archaeological, historical, ecclesiastic and natural history interest.

the largest natural palm forest in Europe and the only one in Greece, close to ancient Itanos in Lasithi Prefecture
